		<description>Yes Wordpress was one of the applications in my thoughts when I wrote the article. Other examples of code to make you cry but the results being rather eye catching can be found in certain jQuery plugins. Some of the code is just so fugly it makes you shed a tear.</description>

		<description>You&#039;re right.  Have a look at the source code of Wordpress (which I also happily use) if you want a great example of terrible code and sleek design. It&#039;s been horrible for well over 4 years and still it goes strong with loads of plugin developers too!

Good code does matter in CRUD applications when you want to make something perform well.  It&#039;s your users that start shouting about shoddy code when it takes a long time to grab data and you seem to take ages trying to make it faster without success.

There is always the case of coders who aren&#039;t challenged enough by their CRUD app and have to make it more interesting as well...</description>
